Cody Stanley homered twice Wednesday as Johnson City beat Burlington in Game 1 of the semifinals. Daniel Ortiz's two-run double capped a three-run eighth as the Twins toppled Pulaski.

Johnson City, which reached the 40-win mark for the first time since 1994, battles Burlington in a best-of-3 semifinal series. Pulaski, winners in the East, meets perennial powerhouse Elizabethton.
